>> WINTER HAVEN – Winter Haven Hospital will host Zumba classes from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.

The Zumba fitness program features interval fast and slow dance rhythms and resistance training to tone and sculpt while burning fat.

Classes are held at the Gil Jones Center, at 3425 Lake Alfred Road (U.S. Highway 17), Winter Haven. Each class costs $5 per person and proceeds benefit the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation. No registration is required.

Grief support groups to meet

>> LAKELAND – Good Shepherd Hospice is offering a number of community grief support groups for people all ages and circumstances.

Adult grief support groups will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland, and from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, at Water’s Edge of Lake Wales.

Parents Grieving the Loss of a Child (up to the age of 18) will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland.

The Traumatic Loss Support Group is for those whose loved ones died from suicide or sudden accidental or violent deaths. This group meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland.

All grief support groups are free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Depression focus of support group

>> WINTER HAVEN – Circle of Hope, a depression and anxiety support group, meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Inman Park Baptist Church, at 1800 Sixth St., N.W., Winter Haven.

Program helps smokers quit

>> WINTER HAVEN – Quit Smoking Now, a six-week program that helps people become tobacco free, will be held from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays through Sept. 21, at the Ridge Career Center (community room in the Health Science Building) in Winter Haven.

The program includes free Nicotine replacement therapy
